Murray motorcyclist collides with deer near Farmington

A Murray man was injured when his motorcycle struck a deer in Graves County Tuesday morning.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said the accident happened just before 11:30 on KY 121 about a mile south of Farmington.

Investigators said a motorcycle operated by 43-year-old Joshua A. Markwell was southbound when a deer crossed into Markwell's path.  

Markwell struck the deer and ran off the road into a ditch.

Markwell was transported to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
