Crash on I-24 sends Paducah woman to hospital

A crash on I-24 sent a Paducah woman to the hospital on Monday night.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened at the 11 mile marker just before midnight.

They said a car driven by 26-year-old Jade S. Barkley attempted to pass a semi-truck driven by Sultan Alpysbaiuly of Chicago. 

As Barkley attempted to pass the semi she was struck in the rear driver fender and sent off the road into the median coming to rest on the steel cable barriers. 

Barkley was transported to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment.
