Two tractor-trailers collided on I-24 Thursday morning in Christian County, resulting in one driver being airlifted to a Nashville hospital.

WKDZ reports the Christian County Sheriff's Office was called at 11:00 am to near the 87 mile marker, for a semi crash in the westbound lanes.

Their investigation found a semi driven by 51-year-old Nakia Stump, of Hopkins, Missouri, failed to recognize slowing traffic and struck the rear of a semi driven by 39-year-old Reginald Hill, of Acworth, Georgia. Stump's vehicle continued on and jackknifed, blocking both westbound lanes.

Stump was ejected from the cab of the truck, and was airlifted to a Nashville hospital for treatment of injuries.

Hill was reportedly not injured in the crash.
