Lyon Crash sends two to hospital

A crash just before 10:45 am Tuesday morning in Lyon County sent two people to hospitals.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office reports they were called to the intersection of KY 93 and KY 1055 for a collision.

The investigation found a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Valerie P. Travis, of Eddyville, was crossing KY 93 from KY 1055, when she failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Paxton T. Riley, of Marion.

Travis had to be extricated from the vehicle, and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of injuries.

Riley was taken by private vehicle to an area hospital for treatment.
