An earthquake shook a portion of southwestern Illinois near the Indiana border early Monday morning.
The tremor registered a 3.1, according to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis. It happened just after 2 a.m. and was centered about 4.2 miles east-southeast of Calhoun, Illinois, and about 24 miles west of Vincennes, Indiana.
Nearly 250 people reported feeling it to the USGS, but there have been no reports of any damage.
