An explosion in Lyon County has resulted in the arrest of a Princeton man.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, multiple calls were received after area residents in the Eddy Creek and Saratoga communities heard and felt a loud explosion.

Deputies determined the site of the explosion was on the US Army Corps of Engineers federal property off Eddy Creek Road.

A large crater was located, along with multiple items of evidence, which revealed a large quantity of a binary and improvised explosive combination was likely used.

The investigation of the explosion led to the identification and location of 19-year-old Bo A. Winters at a Caldwell County home.

Winters accompanied deputies back to Lyon County, and he was later charged with criminal mischief, criminal littering, and disorderly conduct.

He was taken to the Crittenden County Detention Center.
