WKDZ reports that a Crofton Fire Department brush truck was hit at the 19 mile marker, as it was parked at an angle to keep firefighters and the main fire engine safe.
Crofton Fire Department Assistant Chief Brian Diamond said no one was injured in the crash, but it is important for all drivers to slow down and move over when they see emergency vehicles.
Diamond said the fire truck was a total loss.
The move-over law in Kentucky was passed in 2003, which requires motorists to move over to the adjacent lane when approaching an emergency vehicle or public safety vehicle with flashing lights.
