A Florida man was arrested after running from McCracken County deputies following a suspicious person complaint Wednesday night.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched to the area of Deerhaven Lane, due to one of the residents seeing an individual attempting to enter a vehicle.

Deputies then found a male matching the description, later identified as 27-year-old Andrew C. Brown, of Oakhill, Florida, entering a vehicle on Summer Place Dr.

When Deputies attempted to stop and speak with Brown, he reportedly fled on foot after being given commands to stop. Brown was captured and taken into custody a short time later.

Brown was arrested and charged with attempted theft by unlawful taking auto, theft by unlawful taking all others, fleeing or evading police, and criminal mischief.
