Graves woman arrested after traffic stop

A Graves County woman was arrested Monday night following a traffic stop in Graves County.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on KY 303 at approximately 11:00 pm.

During the investigation, the vehicle was searched and methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found.

The driver, 48-year-old Tyea M. Newsome was arrested on drug and traffic offenses, and taken to an out-of-county detention facility.

It was also discovered that Newsome had been sentenced in 2023 to five years of probation for second offense possession of methamphetamine out of Fulton County Circuit Court.
