Illinois man charged in Kentucky child exploitation case

An Illinois man has been charged in Kentucky in conjunction with a child exploitation case.

A Grand Jury in Bowling Green handed down the indictment against 26-year-old Kenon Bradford, of Erie, Illinois. Bradford is accused of driving nearly seven hours to Paducah to meet a juvenile for the purpose of engaging in activity of a sexual nature. Bradford reportedly drove to Paducah on August 3rd, 2026, picked up the minor, and took the victim back into Illinois. Bradford and the minor were found near Peoria. When Bradford was arrested, he is said to have admitted to communicating over Snapchat with the juvenile for several days. Those communications were reportedly of a sexual nature.

Bradford is charged with transportation of a minor to engage in sexual activity, online enticement of a minor, and other alleged child exploitation offenses. He is in state custody until at least his first appearance in U.S. District Court. Bradford faces a minimum of 10 years and up to life in prison. There is no parole in the federal system.

The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky, along with the FBI and the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, is handling the case.
