Lyon SRO charges male student for possessing obscene material at school

A Lyon County school resource officer charged a male student after he was found to be in possession of obscene material at school.

Thursday afternoon, the SRO was notified that a 15-year-old male student was in possession of sexually explicit material. The officer took statements from witnesses and reportedly located the material. The student was charged with felony possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

Cadiz Police assisted in the investigation. The case will be reviewed by a Court Designated Worker.
