A Murray man was allegedly in possession of illegal drugs while he was being processed by police on another matter.
On Thursday night, Calloway County deputies made contact with 63-year-old James Bynum at a residence on Broad Street in reference to an outstanding warrant. While placing him in custody it was discovered that he possessed illicit drugs.
Bynum was charged with felony possession of meth, along with the original warrants for non-payment of court costs.
He was lodged at the Calloway County Detention Facility.
