Madisonville man arrested in Princeton for theft

A Madisonville man was arrested in Princeton on Friday after reportedly stealing items and then reselling them.

A local business is said to have called the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office to accuse an employee of taking items and selling them to a pawn shop. The business told deputies that the employee had taken some of their display tools and sold them. The deputies later located the stolen items at a shop and returned them to their owners. Then they got a warrant for the arrest of 37-year-old Charles Crews of Madisonville.

On Saturday, deputies caught up with Crews and took him into custody. Crews was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
