Man arrested after found living in storage building in Mayfield

A man was arrested earlier this week after he was found living inside a storage building facility in Mayfield.

Mayfield Police said they were performing an extra patrol Tuesday at a storage unit facility on East Broadway. One of the doors was found to be unsecured and a person could be heard moving around inside.

An officer located 48-year-old William Huntley. It was determined that Huntley had been staying inside the storage unit and was found to be manifestly under the influence of alcohol.

After speaking with the storage unit manager and learning who rented the unit and whose property was inside, Huntley was placed under arrest for alcohol intoxication in a public place.

Huntley was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center, and later lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
