Man found dead in water at Jonathan Creek

A 73-year-old man is dead after he was found in the water in Jonathan Creek near Benton.

According to the Marshall County Rescue Squad, the man was found by local fishermen. The man's vacant boat was also found later.

Marshall County crews attempted life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful.

Marshall County Coroner, Kenny Pratt, said the man reportedly had a medical emergency and fell into the water. He was not wearing a life jacket.

Pratt identified the man as Danny "Pete" Henson of Benton.

An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday in Louisville. No update on the findings.
