The McCracken County Sheriff's office said 69-year-old JD McNew was charged with felony theft by unlawful taking over $10,000, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and failure to comply with sex offender registry.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, they responded to a report of a theft from a Kevil area home in August 2025. The victim reported his truck and more than $14,000 in cash was missing.
Deputies found the truck in a Memphis International Airport parking lot. Working with the Memphis airport police, they identified the suspect as JD McNew, who is a relative of the theft victim.
