Murray man arrested after investigation of alleged assault

A Murray man has been arrested following the investigation of an alleged assault that took place on Sunday.

Calloway County Sheriff's deputies served an arrest warrant for Harmon Brown at a home on Megan Drive Thursday night. The home is where the reported assault took place. 

According to the investigation, Brown is said to have assaulted someone in the home on Sunday causing the victim to fall backwards and incur significant injury.

The report said the victim located and pointed a gun at Brown as he continued to approach the injured victim. A shot was fired into the air and Brown backed down at that point. 

Brown was taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
