Murray man arrested on drug charges following traffic stop Saturday

A Saturday traffic stop in Marshall County leads to the arrest of a Murray man on numerous drug charges.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop just after 8:15 Saturday night near the intersection of US 68 East and Beale Road after observing multiple traffic violations.

During the course of the investigation, 63-year-old Donald W. Carson of Murray was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, suspected hydrocodone and oxycodone, suspected marijuana, suspected psilocybin mushrooms, a quantity of U.S. currency, and drug paraphernalia believed to be indicative of illegal narcotics trafficking.

Carson was lodged into the Marshall County Detention Center.
