Murray man under supervision caught with a gun

A Murray man under state supervision was caught with a handgun.

Calloway County Probation and Parole officers, with the help of Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies, visited 38-year-old Shawn Wilkinson on Tuesday morning as part of his release related to a previous case. Deputies and officers located the handgun during that home visit. After his felony conviction in 2024, it is not lawful for Wilkinson to have a gun.

Wilkinson was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He was booked into the Calloway County Detention Center.
