The McCracken County Sheriff's Office Drug Division began an investigation of cocaine trafficking charges involving 56-year-old Rodney L. Collins.
During the investigation, detectives purchased quantities of crack cocaine from Collins.
On Tuesday shortly before noon, detectives located Collins and executed a search warrant on his hotel room at 2701 HC Mathis Drive.
During the search, detectives recovered crack cocaine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana (“Spice”), assorted drug paraphernalia, and U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
Collins was arrested at the scene and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail. He has an extensive criminal history, including multiple prior convictions for trafficking cocaine.
