A Paducah man is dead after being involved in a traffic accident in which his motorcycle was involved with a vehicle.

Paducah Police said they were called around 8:40 Wednesday night to the 300 block of Jefferson Street for a reported traffic collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle.

The preliminary investigation indicated a vehicle operated by 50-year-old James Gipson of Georgia, was entering the intersection of North 3rd Street and Jefferson Street.

As Gipson turned onto Jefferson Street, a motorcycle operated by 17-year-old Jayden Carrillo of Paducah collided with Gipson’s vehicle.

Carrillo was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
