A pair of calls about boaters on Kentucky Lake kept first responders in Marshall County busy Thursday night.
The Marshall County Rescue Squad along with the East and South Marshall Fire Departments got the first call about a boat that was disabled near Kentucky Dam. The boat had lost power and with no anchor or oars aboard, the boat was drifting toward the dam. They were found and towed to a nearby marina.
The second call scrambled Marshall County EMS and had AirEvac at the ready, as a report of a boat hitting the breakwall at Moor's Resort came in. That call proved to be unfounded as rescuers could not find any injured individuals or boat.
