Rain is continued to be forecast for this weekend across the region.
Timing of the rain looks to be spread between late Friday night through Sunday afternoon, with the most likely period of rain late Saturday.
Total forecast rainfall amounts have dropped a bit since early week to between 1 and 2 inches. At the same time, the location of heaviest rainfall has shifted southwest to the Ozarks of the Missouri/Arkansas line.
Any rain will be beneficial, since the very dry winter has left the region several inches behind its normal total, and resulted in abnormally dry soils.
Temperatures near 60 for the weekend will rise to the 70s being common next week. Paducah's historical average high is 50 for mid-February.
