A Reidland man was arrested for assault and threats with a firearm following a disturbance complaint.
McCracken County deputies responded to reports of a disturbance involving a firearm at a home in Reidland in the Fisher Road area. Once they arrived they said they found a male and female who reportedly had been in a verbal altercation.
The female victim told deputies she was previously assaulted by the suspect on scene. Deputies also the suspect had been in a verbal altercation with a male victim on scene and had brandished an AR pistol type rifle. The suspect allegedly made threats to harm the male victim, while pointing the rifle in the victim's direction.
Deputies then arrested 21-year-old Brian Liverman and seized multiple firearms and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities said Liverman made statements consistent with causing serious physical injury or death in reference the female victim while serving an Emergency Protection Order on him at the jail. Liverman was charged additionally with terroristic threatening.
