McCracken County High School will have a new assistant principal in the 2026-27 academic year.

According to a news release, Jennifer Scism, current principal at Lone Oak Intermediate School-will move into the new role effective July 1st. Scism will serve as the administrator for the Freshman Academy.  


Since 2019, Scism has served as principal of Lone Oak Elementary School, where she has built a strong culture of excellence, collaboration, and student-centered learning.

During her tenure, Lone Oak Elementary was recognized as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School, a distinction that reflects the school’s high academic achievement and commitment to student success under her leadership.

Known for her ability to build strong teams and create positive school environments, Scism has focused on empowering teachers, strengthening instructional practices, and ensuring every student is supported to reach their full potential.

Her leadership has resulted in high levels of student achievement, strong staff retention, and a vibrant school community.
