Section of Cairo Road closed this week for bridge repairs

A busy section of Cairo Road in McCracken County will be closed this week for bridge deck repairs.

The bridge is less than a mile west of the Exit 3 interchange of I-24. It's near Carr Road, midway between Olivet Church Road and Commerce Drive.

The closure will have to remain in place 24 hours a day to allow concrete to cure.

Traffic will have to make a short detour on Commerce Drive and Olivet Church Road to bypass the road work.

Work is expected to be completed by end of day on Friday.
