A woman is facing drug charges after a traffic stop on Thursday in Metropolis.

Metropolis Police stopped a pickup at 5th and Yasoda for registration tags that had been expired for two years. When checked against the computer database, the tags matched an entirely different vehicle. A police K-9 hit on the possible presence of drugs in the vehicle. The passenger, 41-year-old Jennifer M. Bagley of Metropolis, is said to have had methamphetamine, hydrocodone, clonazepam, and gabapentin in her purse.

Bagley was cited for possession of a controlled substance, while the driver, William Sparks, was charged with a number of vehicular violations.
