Two deputies from the Calloway County Sheriff's Office were among the graduates from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training and the Basic Training Academy.


Zachary R. Chapman and Nicholas L. Hopkins of the Calloway County Sheriff's Office were among the 26 graduates honored by Governor Beshear


"Congratulations to these men and women who have dedicated themselves to 20 weeks of extensive basic training. I ask the commonwealth to join me and First Lady Beshear in prayer for a safe and fulfilling career of service for these heroes."


The class undertook 800 hours of training over a 20-week period to learn legal information, the latest technology, and best practices in patrol procedures, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, traffic and DUI, firearms, and more.
