Webster man indicted on sexual assault charges

A Webster County man has been indicted on charges he sexually assaulted a minor.

The Special Prosecutions Unit of the Kentucky Attorney General's Office made the announcement about the indictment against 55-year-old Michael Denton on Thursday. The indictment said that the incident allegedly occurred with the minor in December of 2024. 

Denton was arrested and charged with rape, incest, and strangulation. His bond was set at $500,000.

Kentucky State Police handled the investigation and Assistant Attorney General Richie Kemp brought the case before the Webster County Grand Jury.
