Three consecutive State Championships and three consecutive undefeated seasons itself is nothing short of astounding, but a fourth consecutive State Championship and undefeated season?

That is exactly what the Elmore Park Middle School Eagles from Bartlett accomplished Saturday in Murfreesboro, defeating Sevier County Middle School 60-28, for their fourth consecutive Tennessee AAA Middle School State Championship. The win ran the Eagles' season record to 34-0, and makes their four year record an unbelievable 130-0.

The Eagles used a strong first half with smothering defense to take a 34-19 lead over the Smokey Bears from Sevierville, and never looked back, moving to a 32 point win.

Elmore Park qualified for the championship game with a 43-23 win over Mt. Juliet Friday night in the semi-finals, and Sevier County qualified with a win over Murfreesboro Oakland 53-25, also Friday night.

The 130 game winning streak is certainly one of, if not the longest of any Basketball team, at any level, in the United States. The four consecutive titles with perfect seasons in each is a first at any level in Basketball in the state of Tennessee.
