Brief taste of temps in the 60s Monday and Tuesday

After a seasonal high of 48 on Sunday, temperatures will bring the first return to the 60s we've experienced in several weeks.

Monday will climb to 60, then soar to 68 on Tuesday before settling back to more normal highs in the upper 40s to low 50s the rest of the week.

Meteorologists at the NWS Paducah office posted that temperatures are set to run above normal over the next couple of weeks. Paducah's normal high is 50 beginning on Feb. 15, rising to 55 by the beginning of March.

Slight rain chances come back Tuesday into Wednesday, but it's expected to be less than a quarter inch. More periods of light rain could appear later this week, but models don't agree on timing.
