Mayfield man arrested with drugs while walking in Murray

A Mayfield man was arrested with drugs on Thursday after police saw him walking down 12th Street in Murray.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies spotted 63-year-old Russell S. Roach of Mayfield walking erratically, they said. When deputies tried to get out with him, Roach reportedly took off away from them. He is said to have tossed a baggie with drugs in it as he tried to get away.

Roach was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, as well as tampering with physical evidence.
