A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to continue a nighttime, work zone lane restriction on Interstate 24 in McCracken County tonight and Wednesday night before moving to Lyon County Thursday through Saturday nights.

Work in McCracken County is between mile point 16.2 near I-24 Exit 16 and goes toward the I-24 Ohio River Bridge.

Work in Lyon County is between mile point 33.88 near the I-24 Cumberland River Bridge on the Livingston-Lyon County Line and goes toward I-24 Exit 45 at KY 293 at mile point 44.7.

Crews expect to finish sealing cracks in the asphalt pavement in both counties this week.

The nighttime lane restriction will be from 6 pm to 6 am, as crews work in smaller sections along I-24.

The work zone will have a reduced speed limit of 55 mph.
