Saturday crash in front of Paducah Police Department temporarily closes Broadway

A crash in the 1400 block of Broadway, directly in front of the Paducah Police Department headquarters, closed Broadway for a short time Saturday morning.

According to Paducah Police, at 9:30 am, a 49-year-old male experienced a medical emergency while driving, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle.

The vehicle left the roadway, stuck two flag poles and a concrete planter at the police department building, and flipped onto its side.

The driver, along with three passengers, were not injured in the crash, however the driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment related to his medical condition.
