Vehicle, home destroyed in Hopkinsville fire

Fire Wednesday evening destroyed a car and home in Hopkinsville.

WKDZ reported the Hopkinsville Fire Department was called to a home on West 1st Street and discovered part of the home and a SUV were fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. 

An unidentied adult who was in the home was checked out for chest pains, but refused treatment.

The fire appeared to begin near the carport area, but the investigation is continuing.
