Multi-vehicle crash at I-24/I-69 junction at Calvert City

A multiple-vehicle accident is reported this morning at the intersection of I-24 and I-69 at Calvert City.

Early reports indicate possible injuries after a bumper-to-bumper chain reaction crash involving northbound traffic coming off of I-69.

Heavy traffic is backing up on the approach to the accident scene.


This comes as a crash has been cleared that was restricting traffic in both directions on Interstate 24 at the Calvert City exit.

The westbound lanes of I-24 were temporarily blocked. Traffic was detoured to the exit 27 off-ramp, then crossed US 62 and returned to I-24 using the opposing on-ramp.
