2.5 Magnitude Quake Shakes Area

A magnitude 2.5 earthquake shook the ground across portions of the area at 7:12 pm, Friday. According to the USGS, the epicenter for the tremor was in the Bootheel of Missouri, near the town of Steele. Three Graves County men were arrested Thursday on burglary, theft and drug charges. A LaCenter woman is facing prescription fraud charges. The Paducah Police Department says a local pharmacy notified detectives that 31-year-old Jennifer Williams had picked up a Clonazepam prescription for her boyfriend after he allegedly called to approve it.
