$100,000 Worth of Meth Seized During Traffic Stop

A Caldwell County man faces drug trafficking charges after police say he was caught with more than $100,000 worth of methamphetamine.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 62. The driver, Brian Martinez of Princeton, allegedly admitted to possessing over two pounds of methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Martinez reportedly told the deputy he was delivering the meth to Marshall County for distribution. The meth seized by police has a street value of over $100,000.

According to police, Martinez is currently on federal probation for trafficking in methamphetamine. He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail on charges of trafficking more than two grams of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
