Strong gusty northwest winds will build as a cold front moves across our region this evening. Sustained winds around 20 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 miles per hour are possible for several hours.
This will cause some loose objects to blow around, such as Christmas decorations. Motorists may find vehicles difficult to handle, especially in open areas exposed to the wind.
Tuesday and Wednesday, an elevated wildfire danger will persist, especially across the drought areas of southeast Missouri.
