Vote totals are in for several western Kentucky primary races.

Kentucky 1st District State Representative Steven Rudy will be serving in the House for another term. He received 3,258 votes for 86 percent of the vote, with challenger Carroll Hubbard getting 543 votes for 14 percent. With no Democratic candidate in the primary, Rudy will be unopposed in November's general election. He represents 12 precincts in McCracken County, along with Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton and Hickman Counties.

In the 6th District House race, Al Cunningham defeated Linda Story Edwards by just 31 votes to win the Democratic primary and face Republican Chris Freeland in November. Voting was close in all three counties, with Edwards winning McCracken and Marshall Counties, but Cunningham won Lyon County by enough to gain the victory.

Judge Chris McNeill and attorney Jenny Hines have moved on to the November general election for 1st District Court of Appeals Judge. McNeill finished with 35,375 votes, Hines has 26,334 votes and C. Rene' Williams has 16,642 votes. Only the top two advance to the November ballot, with the winner filling the unexpired term of Judge Shea Nickell, who was elected to the Kentucky Supreme Court last year. McNeill was appointed to the bench by Governor Andy Beshear in April.
