Ballard Traffic Stop Ends with Drug Arrest

BALLARD COUNTY - A Wickliffe man was arrested Saturday on drug charges after a traffic stop.

The Ballard County Sheriff's Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle Saturday for a seat belt violation. Deputies said they deployed a police dog, who alerted to the back passenger door of the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle deputies reportedly found methamphetamine in a pill bottle.

The driver, Eric Shelton of Wickliffe was arrested for possession of meth and booked into Ballard County Jail.
