Bardwell Man Cited on Alleged Drug Charges

A Carlisle County man was cited on alleged drug charges on Monday evening.

The Carlisle County Sheriff's Office says that a search warrant was executed in the 1800 block of State Route 123 after a requested welfare check at the home, because the front door was open, and no one appeared to be there. 

Law enforcement found no one at the home, but did find seven ounces of marijuana inside, along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the search, 55-year-old Phillip Benson, of Bardwell, was issued a citation for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
