A Carlisle County man was arrested Sunday on drug and gun charges.

The Carlisle County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded on Sunday to a home in Kirbyton on a report that 19-year-old Austin Case, of Bardwell, was passed out inside, and the homeowner wanted him removed. Deputies say Case was a person of interest in a stolen gun investigation that began on Saturday.

Deputies responded to the home and interviewed Case. Case allegedly admitted that he had taken the gun and it was hidden between the mattresses where he had been found.

A deputy found the gun and noticed the serial number had been removed. Case denied defacing the firearm.

During a search of Case and his backpack, deputies found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and evidence suggesting that Case was trafficking in marijuana. Case was arrested and transported to the Ballard County Jail.

He's charged with receiving a stolen firearm, possession of a defaced firearm, trafficking in marijuana (firearm enhanced) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
