Benton Man Facing Additional Drug Charges

A Benton man is facing additional drug charges after being arrested on outstanding warrants.

Deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff's Office say they went to a residence on 641 North on Sunday in an attempt to locate a wanted person. While on the scene, deputies located Jackie Johnson III of Benton. Johnson was taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrants.

During a search of the residence, deputies reportedly found illegal drugs and items of drug paraphernalia.

Johnson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) second offense, possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
