According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded Wednesday on Murray Highway to a vehicle parked in a driveway with the headlights on. Upon arrival at the scene, the vehicle drove forward and struck the home.
The driver, 18-year-old Jakob R. Taylor, then got out of the vehicle, and deputies saw a lid fall from his lap. They discovered a nearly empty bottle of bourbon in the passenger floor board.
Taylor was allegedly not able to respond to any commands, and had difficulty standing.
He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, failure to produce an insurance card, 2nd degree criminal mischief, and a person 18-20 possessing alcohol.
