Benton Woman Hurt in Motorcycle Wreck

A Benton woman was injured in a Tuesday morning motorcycle wreck.

At around 10:45 am, A Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy was dispatched to a motorcycle crash with injuries on Eggners Ferry Road. Witnesses told police that 19-year-old Erika L. Gordon, of Benton was on the right edge of the road when she topped the hill in a left hand curve. They said Gordon began to lose control when she hit a mailbox, and was then thrown from the motorcycle.

Gordon was taken to Western Baptist Hospital by Marshall County EMS.
