Kentucky governor Steve Beshear will be in western Kentucky Wednesday to announce funding for a Paducah street to be rehabilitated, and for a lakes area park project.

Beshear will visit Silver Cliff Park near Lake Barkley at 2:00pm, where he will announce plans for the Lyon County Trail and Amphitheatre projects. He'll be joined by Sen. Stan Humphries, Rep. Will Coursey, and Lyon Co. Judge-Executive Wade White. The announcement will be at 2030 Lake Barkley Drive in Kuttawa.

At 4:00 pm, Beshear will be in Paducah's City Hall, where he will announce funding for the rehabilitation of U.S. Highway 45X, also known as Kentucky Avenue. He'll be joined by Rep. Gerald Watkins, Paducah Mayor Gayle Kaler, and KYTC Chief District Engineer Mike McGregor.

Beshear's visit to the area comes six days before the general election, in which Democrats Coursey and Watkins are seeking re-election.
