Calloway Pedestrian Accident Claims One Life

An accident on Wednesday involving a pedestrian claimed the life of a Calloway County man.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, 48-year-old Christopher Gallimore was walking on Locust Grove Road in Calloway County at 5:18 pm when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Sharon Pierceall, also of Calloway County.

Gallimore was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The Sheriff's Office said no charges are expected to be filed at this time.
