Two Marshall County residents were arrested over the weekend on several drug offenses.

On Friday, detectives with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for a home in the 4000 block of Griggstown Road in Calvert City. During the search, detectives seized more than four grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging materials, over $150 in cash, marijuana, several firearms and several different types of prescription pills.

Detectives arrested Stephen Adams for trafficking in methamphetamine-firearm enhanced, possession of marijuana-firearm enhanced, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. Mary Adams was also arrested for possession of marijuana-firearm enhanced, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Police say the tampering charges stem from both Stephen and Mary Adams attempting to conceal and/or destroy evidence. Both were transported to the Marshall County Jail. Detectives said additional charges and arrests are pending further investigation.
