Former Marshall County Emergency Management Director Curt Curtner has accepted a position in a neighboring county.

Tracy Warner, Director of the Graves County Emergency Management Agency, says Curtner has accepted a position in her office as a volunteer deputy.

“Curt is a great guy,” Warner said. “I have worked with him over the past 7-8 years on other stuff. He brings experience to the table, and he is always willing to help his community. We are blessed that he wants to continue helping in Graves County.”

Curtner was let go last week after serving as Marshall County's Emergency Management Director since 2015.

“This will allow me to keep active in Kentucky Emergency Management and also stay certified.,” Curtner said. “Tracy is fairly new to her position and anything I can do to assist Graves County and her, I will, just as I have done for years in Marshall County.”

Curtner said he chose to assist in Graves County because he already has a great working relationship with many agencies there.
